Be honest. Be kind.
Anonymity gives people room to speak. These guidelines help keep that room welcoming and readable.
Leave your own words.
Share original thoughts, opinions, personal experiences, stories, or poetry. If you quote someone, credit them and keep the quote brief. Do not post someone else’s work as your own.
Respect people.
Disagreement is welcome. Threats, harassment, hate directed at protected groups, targeted abuse, and encouragement of violence are not. Do not impersonate another person.
Protect private information.
Do not share someone’s address, phone number, private messages, identifying documents, or other sensitive details without their permission. Avoid identifying details in personal stories when they could expose someone.
Keep spam out.
No repeated advertisements, deceptive links, scams, or automated floods of posts. The journal is for writing, not link promotion.
Use care with difficult subjects.
You can write about painful experiences. Avoid graphic exploitation, instructions for harming others, or encouragement of self-harm. This public journal is not an emergency service or a substitute for professional support.
Report a concern.
Use “Report entry” on an entry page or in the journal’s entry menu. Reports enter the owner’s moderation queue and do not automatically remove an entry. New entries publish immediately. Owners can hide or reject entries that break the guidelines, and restore entries after review. There is no guaranteed review or response time.
Before writing, remember that entries are public and may appear in search engines. See the privacy note for details.
